Tips for Designing on the Process Editor Canvas
Here are some tips for designing your process:
- Double-click the Process Editor
titlebar to enlarge the canvas to full view
- Change the font size and color, borders, images and other
properties for activities and links. See Setting Visual Properties and Using Your Own Library of Images.
- Use the toolbar button
to arrange process activities according to the settings in Layout Preferences. Use the option on the right mouse menu of any container
or selection
- Use and to change the orientation of your process
- When moving any activity or container, the object snaps
to a grid. Use the to
move an object one pixel at a time.
- Use and on
the Process menu to change magnification of the canvas
- Select a percentage or from the toolbar Zoom drop-down
- Change the process to
show or hide activities
- containers to
show or hide them. into a collapsed
container to temporarily view its contents. See Showing and Hiding Activities.
- Select two or more activities and link them using the toolbar
button
- Use the Thumbnail View to view different parts of your process
if it is large and complex
- Select two or more graphical elements and align them using
the toolbar drop-down list
- Anchor a drawing label to an activity by selecting both
and then selecting from the
right mouse menu
