What is ActiveVOS Central?

ActiveVOS Central is a client application that contains Process Request Forms, Tasks, and Reports. Users of ActiveVOS Central can start a process, work on tasks, and view reports. In Designer, you create forms, task, and reports for them.

When the server is running, you can access the ActiveVOS Central application in ActiveVOS Designer at the URL:

http://localhost:8080/activevos-central

Note that your host:port may differ if you changed it during installation.

At the Login page, you can enter the following username and password:

User name: manager

Password: manager

This user name is defined in the enabled Identity Service running on Designer’s embedded server. By default, there is a tomcat-users.xml file enabled, and you can sign in with this name or another of the user names listed that has the abTaskClient role. The tomcat-users.xml file is not enabled for ActiveVOS Enterprise Servers.

As a developer, you can contribute to ActiveVOS Central as follows:

Create a configuration file that customizes the navigation area of ActiveVOS Central and describes the requests, tasks, and reports that are deployed

The following illustration shows an example of ActiveVOS Central. Note that the Tasks, Requests, and Reports bars can slide up and down to change the display.
