Task Service

Select the Task Service page from the Admin menu. The settings on the Task Service page are for configuration of the ActiveVOS Inbox application. This application runs in conjunction with a BPEL process containing a People activity.

Inbox URI

The Console needs to know the server location of the ActiveVOS Inbox application in order to communicate with it. For example, the Active Tasks report provides a link to the Inbox. By default, the Inbox application runs at the URI of:

ae:task-inbox

This URI is mapped to:

http://localhost:8080/activevos-inbox

For more information, see URN Mappings. Change the host and port, as needed. Do not change the application name.

Retention Days

When a BPEL process contains a People activity, the executing activity adds a task to server. Users complete tasks, and the closed tasks remain in the server until the retention days have expired.

The default number of retention days for closed tasks is 365. Change this setting as needed.
