Error Log

The Error Log displays details of any system errors. Active Endpoints can use this information for troubleshooting.

In the default perspective, the Error Log is not shown. To open the Error Log, select Window>Show View>Error Log.

The following illustration shows an example of the Error Log.

Export this log to a text file. Import an older Error log.

Clear the error log view, without deleting the contents of the log file

Delete the contents of the log file

Open this log in a text editor

Restore the log file display

Select filters for viewing event types, number of events to display and other criteria

The following illustration shows the event details view of an error. You may be asked to copy the information from this dialog to help Active Endpoints troubleshoot a problem.
