The ActiveVOS tutorial presents the how-to’s and why-to’s of orchestration: creating, deploying, and debugging a Business Process Execution Language (BPEL) process using ActiveVOS Designer.

The purpose of the tutorial is to familiarize you with using ActiveVOS and not to teach you the BPEL specification or the other specifications that BPEL relies on, such as the Web Services Description Language and schema. ActiveVOS is rigorously based on the WS-BPEL 2.0 specification and schema. The product generates valid WS-BPEL 2.0 code for your process as it guides you with easy-to-use wizards to provide the right information.

For an introduction to BPEL, refer to help topics in Welcome to ActiveVOS Designer.
