ActiveVOS Extensions to WS-BPEL 2.0

In addition to fully supporting the WS-BPEL 2.0 specification, ActiveVOS supports the following BPEL extensions.

Process Level Extensions

• Compensation handler and termination handler

The extension namespace is http://www.activebpel.org/2006/09/bpel/extension/process_coordination

• Query handling including Create XPath and Disable Selection Failure

For details, see Process Element and Properties.

The extension namespace is http://www.activebpel.org/2006/09/bpel/extension/query_handling

Activities

The ActiveVOS extension activities are Suspend, Break, and Continue.

Custom XPath Functions

There are several ActiveVOS custom functions, as described in Using the Expression Builder.

The extension prefix abx is for the namespace http://www.activebpel.org/2006/09/bpel/extension

BPMN Constructs

Make process models visually understandable to non-BPEL developers by using the standard modeling notation, Business Process Modeling Notation.
