Editing a process model diagram

You create or edit a process model by adding, deleting, and editing process model elements in a diagram.

Adding a process model element

  1. Select the element from the Palette (click and release the left mouse button).
  2. Move the cursor to the location in the diagram where you want the element to appear.
  3. Click to create a new element.

Note: You can also click and drag an element from the Palette to the editor.

Adding an activity

You can also add an activity to the process model by dragging and dropping either a port in the WSDL or a process model in the Artifacts view to the diagram. These artifacts are not visible in the model, but can be seen in the corresponding Properties view.

Use the context menu of the parent element to add child modeling elements that are not visible. You can do that either from the diagram or from Outline view. Elements that can be added using the context menu (right-click on an object to see its context menu) are:

Object

Context menu items

Start event, intermediate event

A star in the center of the Start event signifies that multiple triggers are applied to an event.

Activity

Sequence flow with boundary event

Gateway

  • Gateway control

End task
