Goals

You can specify business goals within the model.

Adding a Goal

Goals can be added only to Processes or Pools. The Add Goal command is available only in Outline view

1. In Outline view, select a process. Processes are marked by a cog symbol .
2. Right-click the Process or Pool name and select Add Goal. The Goal will appear in the Outline, marked by a target symbol .
3. Select the Goal. The <Goal> Properties view will be displayed.
4. Assign the desired attributes.

Property	Description
Name	The name will be the label shown in Outline view.
Priority	Four levels of priority are available. These are relative priorities; they do not have a predefined meaning within the model.
Deliverable	Indicates the way to achieve a goal. It can include multiple items, separated by commas. You can select from a list of available activities by clicking the Select button and checking the appropriate activities.
Description	The goal description is vital to ensuring that business processes are implemented by IT in the correct way.
