Creating a Task for a Participant

After you create a human task participant, you can create a new process-level task for the participant.

Note: To create a new Notification, see About Notifications.

To create a new task:

  1. In Participants view, right-mouse click on a Logical People Group name (such as Role1), and select New Task.
  2. The default Task Name is Task1. If desired, rename this to something more meaningful.
  3. Do one of the following
  4. To select an interface that you have already imported into the workspace, use the Interface tree. Select the WSDL operation for this task.
  5. The tree shows two categories: the current BPEL process and the WSDL interfaces currently in use for other participants (if any) and Workspace orchestration projects containing WSDLs (if any).

  6. To create a new interface, select Generate Interface. See Creating a New Interface in ActiveVOS Designer Online Help for details.

Note that in the task that is created, the Logical People Group is assigned to the Potential Owners role.
