Business Process Diagram objects

Business Process Diagrams contain many kinds of elements. Some of these elements are objects that are visible in the diagram; some elements can only be added or viewed using the Outline view or the Properties view.

Objects visible in the diagram include:

• Flow objects—events, activities, and gateways
• Connecting objects—sequence flows, message flows, and associations
• Swimlanes—pools and lanes
• Artifacts—groups, data objects, and text annotations

Elements not visible in the diagram, but that can be added using Outline view include:

• Goals
• KPIs
• Messages

Objects visible in the diagram that can only be added using Properties view include:

• Triggers and results
