The Business Process Diagram (BPD) editor is used for
visually editing the process model using BPM notation. Process models are saved
with the file extension *.bpm.
Any number of editors can be open at once, but only one can
be active at a time. The main menu bar and toolbar for the editor view contain
operations that are applicable to the active diagram.
Tabs in the editor area indicate the names of
resources that are currently open for editing. An asterisk (*) indicates that
an editor has unsaved changes. To close an editor, click the X on the
tab. ![]()
By default, editors are stacked in the editor area,
but you can choose to tile them in order to view source files simultaneously.
You can use the context menus to define the default
characteristics of new diagram objects by right-clicking on an existing object
and selecting Set appearance default. Once you have done that, newly
created objects of the same type will have the characteristics of the existing
object (color, font, font size, shape, etc.)
