ActiveVOS Designer BPEL for People User’s Guide
If desired you can define start and completion deadlines for a task, and when a deadline is reached, trigger an escalation action. For details on how to set a task deadline, see Adding Start and Completion Deadlines and Alarms.
An escalation action is an event that ranges from a simple notification to a process invocation.
The following table describes the escalation actions available to occur when you set a task deadline.
|
Inline Notification |
Adds a new notification, available only to the current task. See Creating an Inline or Local Notification Action for a Task Deadline. |
|
Local Notification |
Adds a notification that has been defined in the process or enclosing scope. See Creating an Inline or Local Notification Action for a Task Deadline. |
|
Reassign Task |
Removes the task from the current user(s) and group(s)’ Inbox and reassigns it to specified user(s) or group(s). |
|
Invoke a process |
Executes a BPEL process that may, for example, send an email instead of an Inbox notification. |
|
Send email |
Sends an email to a list of recipients. Requires that the Email and Identity services are enabled and configured in ActiveVOS server. |
In addition, you can trigger an escalation action under certain conditions and with certain data. For details, see:
